Operation table was designed to enable various surgical applications and aimed to form a system and product family along with the auxiliary equipments compatible with each other (transporter, mobile table column, exchangeable table tops etc). Apart from positioning the patient in the right place, the exchangeable table top design inspired by human anatomy that allows medical staff to open-lock and move it with one hand. A series of prototypes were produced so that both the efficiency of the mechanism and the optimum dimension and weight could be determined. The control units; remote and/or embedded to body have an electromechanical feature were also designed user friendly right from the first idea till the prototype phase.
